Huckleberry Finn
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn should be taught in schools, but not for the reasons were used to. People think we read books to advance in our vocabulary and learn literature elements. This book isn’t the best for that, however it includes an excellent insight of Literature, show you many ways to write and is an exceptional quest story.
When looking at this story my thoughts were racing around the idea of what was Mark Twain thinking? By wondering this I’m getting a better insight of Literature. Being curious about why did the character do that? Why is he here? Or even why was that necessary? This is all educational, because were getting a perspective of writing.
People say “Oh this book is so illiterate.” However, Mark Twain did a brilliant thing here; he brought three types of writing in and it fit perfectly. He has Jim talking illiterate by saying stuff like “I come heah de night arter you’s killed.” Then he has Huck with the southern tone and the widow with that speaks very proper and civilized. When you learn how to write in different ways, you just learn a great skill.
My final reason why it should taught at school is it gives you a view of an outstanding quest story. It has a questor, whose Huck. A place to go and tons of obstacles, such as avoiding being found and the gang they ran into.
As I stated before this book is very educational just not in the ways were used to. These three ways I explained give you another outlook of writing you never had before.

Dear Reader,
To whom it may concern,
I posted my POG 2 essay below to esure myself and whoever reads that i have improved in the areas of details and conventions.
Details for me on POG 2 came easy this time, due to the fact the simulation we did involved tons of details and information. It was very simple to put down in an essay.
However, conventions have been difficult in the past. I usually forget a few commons or i put other things in the wrong areas. This time i actually think i did a terrific job on conventons.

POG 2-Ideal Society
I-Deal Society and the Constitution
What protects our individual liberties? Our class proved that the Constitution does effectively protect our individual liberties because during the Idea society, the right to protest was used, also a passage of a bill occurred. Finally, the court case, known as Miller Vs Young took place in the Supreme Court.
Throughout the whole simulation, what was always happening on the sidelines? The right to protest was in action. Most of the citizens, including myself, received cruel treatment, such as nasty remarks about our opinions. However, that did not stop the citizens from using their first amendment rights, “freedom of speech”. Even though their first amendment rights were tested when it came to the law, in my opinion, if we did not have that amendment, we as citizens would not have gotten our ideas or demands recognized or even understood.
Through all the arguments and all the yelling, a bill was proposed by Congress and signed by the President. The bill stated that if you were over 18 years of age, the I-chip was optional. If you were under the age of 18, you were not allowed to possess it. The problem this law caused is that people underage that already had the I-chip were now considered illegal. The law caused problems for everyone, even the Legislative Branch. Congress could not go into someone’s house who was illegal and just take the I-chip right out of their head. This would be thought unconstitutional in many ways, but to sum it up, it violates the 4th amendment. This amendment guarantees “ The right of the people to be secure in persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.” My point is that when they put together the bill, you can tell they didn’t quite think it through all the way. However, if we had more time in the simulation, I think all of us were on the same page. The government would have probably amended the law.
To finish this simulation off, Miller vs. Young court case won back the citizens their freedom of speech. The court case arose based on some words that Miller said, which could have been taken as a threat to the President. The court case started off with Miller’s lawyer presenting a well-written speech. She cited a past case, in which a court approved a citizen’s freedom to speak. The President’s defense could not top anything like that; consequently, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Miller.
In conclusion, what I’m getting at here is that Constitution guards the citizens’ individual liberties and not just the government’s. These three key points- the right to protest, passage of a bill and the actions of the court- prove it.

Dear reader
To whom it may concern...
I choose the 2011 essay for two reasons Intro/conclusion and Transition of ideas. In my opinion my 2011 essay shows that I can write a good intro and conclusion if I put me mind into it. I think my intro iIhad a nice hook, because right away i stated a fact, which is in my opinion some what interesting. Im not used to starting off a paragraph with a fact, usually i start with a question or trying to relate with the readers. This intro confirmed that I can do something different once in awhile.
Furthermore, I noticed I can use transitions in other ways that how we are taught and still get do very well on it. We are taught to start paragraphs off with a transititons then to stop and leave it at that. However, I feel if you know how to use them and that word at the exact moment makes perfect sense transititons can sometimes go anywhere.

Will i graduate in 2011?
2011
The class if 2007 had a 68.5 percentage of graduates. In 2011 I will be part of that percentage. Good grades, staying out of trouble, staying out of trouble and always keeping my future in mind are my main reasons why.
Good grades will take me far in life, such as college and grad school. Right now I have a 3.5 grade point average, if I keep it or make it higher, it should take me far. In order to accomplish this school has to be an important factor in my life, which to me should be no problem.
Moving on, staying out of trouble should be simple for me since I’m always around good influences. Therefore, helping me at a young age learn the right from the wrong. Good influences are not the only thing that keeps me out of trouble; my attitude toward things in life is a big part too. They always say, “If you have a positive attitude, your more likely to succeed.”
My future to me is like everything. Ever since I can remember I always am stressing and focusing on the future. Each step I take I’m always contemplating my new move. Precisely how I landed here in Constitution High. I wanted to go here because I would like to pursue a career in law.

Reflexing on I-chip
As being a citizen in the simulation these last two weeks its been a struggle and a little fursrating. Knowing that the congress and the exucetive power didn't really give a hoot about your admendments or rights. This made it diffultcult to get your views to everyone who needed to get them.But using my 4th and 5th admendment rights got me pretty far. However, made me realize we need more freedon and secrity but on different levels.

POG
Is government necessary, or is it not? Yes, in my opinion, government is necessary, because we all know what happened during the “balloon experiment”: chaos, cheating, and yelling. If this experiment had some rules and structure the probability of this happening again would be slim. An even better example of chaos without rules is the living conditions in Iraq. All you hear about is how people are dying and suffering there. What is the cause? A weak government. Perhaps Locke’s principles would have worked in the past to let Iraq have peace, however now it’s really out of the question. Also Thomas Hobbes philosophy would of got us nowhere to, however if you put them together, there could be hope.
